This crossover SUV is available in four trim levels: the 1SV (or base), Essence, Preferred, and Sport Touring. All Encores come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, front-wheel drive, and a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. Every trim level, except for the base trim, offers all-wheel drive. Standard features include keyless ignition and entry, heated mirrors, roof rails, rear privacy glass, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a fold-flat front passenger seat, and 60/40-split folding rear seats. The base and Preferred trim levels also include impressive features, but the more desirable features are only available on the higher-priced trim levels. Pick up an optional package for the Essence that includes automatic wipers, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, an advanced carbon filter, and lane departure warning. You can also pick up an optional navigation system and a seven-speaker Bose sound system.
